Viveca Lindfors (1920-1995) was a Swedish-American actress. She appeared in over 100 films and television shows throughout her career. Lindfors began her career in Sweden before moving to the United States in 1945. She made her Broadway debut in 1951 and went on to appear in several films, including The Way We Were (1973) and The Sure Thing (1985). She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1956 film, The Wayward Bus. Lindfors was also a successful stage actress and was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in the 1966 play, A Month in the Country. She was also a respected director and teacher, and was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films in 1992.
