After graduating from high school, she moved to Los Angeles and began her acting career. Her first major role was in the 1995 Kevin Smith movie Mallrats. She went on to star in other Smith films such as Chasing Amy and Dogma. She also starred in the Adam Sandler movie Big Daddy. Adams has also appeared in several television shows, including Charmed, That '70s Show, and Entourage. In addition to acting, Adams has written and directed two feature films, Come Early Morning and I Love You, Beth Cooper. She is still actively working in film and television.
