Joan Gregson (1922-2011) was a British actress known for her extensive career in film, television and theatre. She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and made her debut in the 1945 film "The Way Ahead". Over the next six decades, she appeared in more than 50 films and television shows, including "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" (1962), "The Avengers" (1966-1967) and "The Professionals" (1979-1980). She also appeared on stage in various productions, including "The Importance of Being Earnest" and "The Crucible". Her final film appearance was in the 2005 film "Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont". Gregson won a BAFTA for her role in the 1971 television series "The Edwardians". She was married to actor Kenneth Griffith from 1949 until his death in 2006.
